I really appreciate the input. Now I can't decide if making a name change is worth the hassle. Is it difficult? Will people who don't know I'm going to make a change loose track of this blog? Are there really that many people - couldn't I just send an email to people I know who read it and tell them? Am I making a bigger deal out of this than is necessary (me? never!)?
So, if anyone knows the best way to get it done - please let me know!
By the way, I love writing this blog. I think I have always thought in blog-posts, now I have an outlet for all of those thoughts, random and otherwise! It brings me great joy (and surprise) that anyone else would be interested in what goes on here (in my head and in our home). Thanks for reading!
ok.. so.. maybe it's a North Carolina thing, but I like the name you have now.. Sometimes it's best to just name something on the fly.. you know what I mean??
ReplyDeletehere's one vote for "our neighborhood: life with the rogers fam". and I don't think the change will effect the link to your blog as is now cause its based on your http address and no so much the name of the blog. does that make sense?
ReplyDeletehey, what about a combo/compromise: "life as i know it: in the rogers' neighborhood" ;-) it's a bit wordy but it's cute and will make everyone happy!
ReplyDeletei don't think changing a blog name is a big deal - you could just change the title on the blog page, not the blog address.
Sarah's suggestion is really cute! Great solution if you're feeling torn.
ReplyDeleteHow about this as a title:
ReplyDelete"It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood, A beautiful day for a
neighbor, Would you be mine? Could you be mine? It's a neighborly day in this beautywood, A neighborly day for a beauty, Would you be mine? Could you be mine? I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you, I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.
So let's make the most of this beautiful day, Since we're together, we might as well say, Would you be mine? Could you be mine? Won't you be my neighbor? Won't you please, Won't you please, Please won't you be my neighbor?"
Do you think that's too much? On a serious note I like the title the way it is because it's original. There was some reasoning why you picked "LIFE AS I KNOW IT" on the fly and at a certain time on a certain day. Maybe it was the way you were feeling at the time or maybe there isn't a reason at all. I just think "LIFE AS I KNOW IT" seems like a perfect title for someone telling people about their life the way they see it.
Your Loving and AWESOME brother,
Jason
I TOLD YOU it's a North Carolina thing..
ReplyDeleteI believe in always going with your gut on decisions like these which is why I liked Life as I know it.. because you picked it on an impulse.. I think I read somewhere that what you choose from your gut or on impulse is the true you. Or.. I might have made that up.
